Project Overview:

This legalized basement project in Richmond Hill was designed with both comfort and practicality in mind. The homeowners wanted to downsize their living space as they got older while renting out the upper floors to generate a steady second income.

We transformed the unfinished basement into a stylish, functional, and fully code-compliant legal unit — complete with its own walk-out private entrance. The work involved removing the existing staircase that connected the basement to the main floor and constructing a new walk-up entry for independent access.

This project beautifully demonstrates how a legal basement conversion can enhance a property’s value, increase flexibility, and create a sustainable source of rental income — all while maintaining modern comfort and design appeal.
